Panelists at the February 16, 2023 event will discuss internet safety within marginalized communities, including harassment, mis/disinformation, how to handle security issues and how to promote inclusivity in online environments.
Digital Rights Foundation Senior Research Associate Noor Waheed will moderate the conversation with the panelists:
- Kat Lo, Content moderation expert and Program Manager at Meedan’s Digital Health Lab.
- Debarati Das, Co-Lead and Digital Security at Point of View, a feminist non-profit in India working with women, girls, gender and sexual minorities, and people with disabilities.
- Namya Gunawardena, Attorney-at-Law and Project Lead of ‘Prathya’, an ecosystem of support for persons affected by online gender-based violence, at Hashtag Generation.
- Seerat Khan, Program Manager at Digital Rights Foundation.
